HUNTSVILLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a hit-and-run accident near Huntsville that has taken the life of a Hazel Green Man:
“A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. Saturday, March 2, has claimed the life of a Hazel Green man.
The pedestrian, Willard A. Mann, 38, was fatally injured when he was struck by a white Ford Taurus. Mann was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Ford left the scene of the crash and the driver is currently unknown.
The crash occurred on U.S. 231 near Patterson Lane, approximately five miles north of Huntsville, in Madison County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
