Obituary of Hazel Christine Bishop  Hazel Christine Bishop, born April 14, 1940, passed peacefully at home in Hokes Bluff, AL on August 25, 2026, at the age of 86.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Milford Bishop, her mother Catherine Langley and her father Nim Gordon Wilder, Brothers Gerald Wilder, N. G. Wilder, L. J.

Bishop, Corky Payne and Smokey East, Sisters Pat Bishop, Linda Ramsey, Margaret Payne, Joan Wilder, Deannie Langley, and Faye Bishop and nephew Wil Bishop.

She is survived by her children Carol (Mike) Peppers, Douglas Bishop, Karen (Andy) Goggans, and Catherine (Jimmy) Kelton.

Grandchildren Courtney (Will) Berry, Tyler Peppers, Josh Shrum, and Jessica (Justin) Brumblow. Great grandchildren Cameron Ramos, Caitlyn (Caleb Russell) Ramos, Halle (Hunter) Edwards, Brianna (Cody Yarbrough) Peppers, Jacob McCraw, Caleb Shrum, Braydon Trimm, Trenton and Andrew Brumblow. And Great, great grandchildren Aiden Sprayberry, Cross Russell, and Nevaeh Yarbrough. Brothers Butch Langley and Wilford Bishop. Sisters Becky (Fred) Smith, Janet East, Deborah (Gene) Spurgeon, Annette (Hank) Smith, Pam (David Lockridge, and Shirley Hardie. And numerous loved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are David Langley, Roy Bishop, Caleb Russell, Hunter Edwards, Justin Brumblow, and Josh Shrum.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tyler Peppers, Cameron Ramos, Jacob McCraw, Caleb Shrum, Braydon Trimm, Trenton and Andrew Brumblow, Aiden Sprayberry, Will Berry, and Cody Yarbrough.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mui and Dr. Narayan and their nurses and the nurses and aides with Amedisys Hospice for their care and dedication to our mother.

Visitation for friends will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with the service at 12:00 PM on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Collier Butler Funeral Home, Gadsden, AL with burial at Rainbow Memorial in Rainbow City, AL afterwards. Rev. Jim Postell will officiate.
