Hazel Arlean Arnett Pigg – Obituary

Hazel Arlean Arnett Pigg, 83, was born August 11, 1934 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Charlie Marshall and Gertie Irene Rich Arnett. Mrs. Pigg died Friday, October 20, 2017 at El Reposo Nursing Home, Florence.

She was retired from Genesco shoe factory, a member of the Collinwood First Baptist Church, and was President of Resident Counsel at El Reposo Nursing Facility where she served with dignity and honor.

She is survived by son, Jamie Kirk Pigg, of Iron City; daughter, Patti Kim Robertson, of Collinwood; four grandchildren, Jamila Pigg, Matthew Stults, Lindsey Pigg and Peyton Pigg; and three great-grandchildren, Tynslee Stults, Avery Stults, and Jackson Boshers. In addition to her parents, Mrs Pigg was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Arnett, Tim Arnett, and James Arnett.

Services will be Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tim Hanback and Greg Stults officiating. Burial will follow in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, October 23, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Peyton Pigg, Matthew Stults, Jason Boshers, John Dial, Brian Smith, and Braden Thrasher.
