Hattie Lee Harris Sanders

  Mrs. Hattie Lee Harris Sanders of Town Creek, Alabama, was born March 7, 1936, to the late Lewis Harris, Sr. and Mary Alice Harris. Hattie attended Central High School in Courtland, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lit Sanders, Jr.; her children, Marcus Sanders, Patricia Mason, Lit Sanders, III, and Minnie Dean Sanders; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Lewis Harris, Jr., Hartselle Harris, Sr.; Leamon Harris, George Harris, and Percy Harris; sisters, Mary Harris, Susie Mae Perkins, and Corine Hawkins.

She was a faithful member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Town Creek, Alabama, where she served on the Mother’s Ministry, Choir Ministry, and Eastern Star. She retired from Ford Motor Company in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

Hattie leaves to cherish her memories:

Three loving daughters, Lizzie Langham of Town Creek, AL, Carol McDonald of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Carolyn (Dave) Beckwith of Florence, AL; three sons, Henry (Janell) Sanders of Leighton, AL, Edward Sanders, and Preston Sander, both of Town Creek, AL; one sister, Ruby (Matthew) Torain; two sisters-in-law, Selma Cal and Dessie Harris, both of Town Creek, AL; two devoted grandchildren, Felicia (Rockeish) Sanders and Quenethia Sanders, both Town Creek, AL; thirty three grandchildren,; forty nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
