Hattie Earline Johnson, 86, passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at Limestone Health Facility in Athens. A native of Franklin County, Alabama, she was a homemaker and a member of the church of Christ.
Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be today at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, from noon until 2 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with Billy Irby officiating. Burial will be in Dempsey Cemetery, Red Bay, Alabama.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Mary C. Johnson and Doris Carr (Steve). She is also survived by siblings, Letha McKinney (Buddy), Bobby Pierce (Janie), Wesley Pierce (Jane), and Sandra Jones (Hal). A grandson, Mark Carr, and a sister-in-law, Nell Pierce, survive her as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Elmer and Effie Pierce; husband and father of her children, Eddie Alton Johnson; siblings, Sue Adams, Price Pierce, and Emma Jean Hines; and two infant children; and her second husband, Delbert Johnson.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
