Haskell Eugene Long, age 84 of Tullahoma, passed away on October 28, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Franklin County on December 16, 1939, to the late J.R. Long and Elaine Clark. Haskell worked as a machine operator for Carrier for over fifteen years. He loved to fish and enjoyed going to the dirt track to support and watch his family race. Haskell loved watching Tennessee Football, Nascar, and western films, especially “The Lone Ranger”. He was a very active person, who loved the outdoors, and loved joking and laughing with friends and family. In addition to his parents, Haskell is preceded in death by his siblings, Judy Sanders, Linda Faye Weaver, Polly Prince; and great-grandchild, Ally Burt. Haskell is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Shirly Long; children, Brenda Sue (Scott) Burt, Robbie Long, Curtis (Carolyn) Long, Thomas (Connie) Martin; godchild. Rose Mary Clark; twenty-one grandchildren; over forty great-grandchildren; one god grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 5pm-8pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be conducted at 10am on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Brother Rickey Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Gipson Cemetery in Decherd.
