Harvey Collins, 88, of Glencoe, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026, at his home.He was born June 6, 1938, in Kennedy, Alabama, to the late Robert and Lucille Collins. He was a 1956 graduate of Kennedy High School in Kennedy, Alabama.
Mr. Collins dedicated 56 years as a Sales Representative for Long Lewis Hardware in Birmingham, Alabama.He believed in a strong work ethic and loved the customers he served throughout his many years at Long Lewis.
Harvey had a love of gardening, working in the yard, and Alabama football and basketball. He was a member of East Gadsden Baptist Church and the Glencoe Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Smith Collins; his son, Mark Collins (Congo); his parents, Robert and Lucille Collins; and his sister, Peggy Collins Corbett.
He is survived by his son, Scott (Stephanie) Collins, Southside, Al; daughter-in-law, Susie Clower Collins, Glencoe, Al; brother, Gene Collins, Tuscaloosa, Al; brother, David Collins , Belk, Al; grandchildren, Lindsey Collins Watson (David), Gadsden, Al; Shea Collins Gray (Jason), Gadsden, Al; Cade Collins, Gadsden, Al; Courtlyn Collins, Glencoe, Al; Alex Collins (Ellen), Glencoe, Al; Caroline Collins Bailey (Weston), Gadsden, Al; Shelby Duong (Ben), San Antonio, Tx, and Luke Epps (Elizabeth), Jacksonville, Al, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, AL 35901, on September 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Funeral Service will follow at Collier-Butler Funeral Home at 1:00 pm.

Final resting place will be Crestwood Cemetery, 2209 E Broad St, Gadsden.
