CULLMAN COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident that has taken the life of a Hartselle woman and sent sent five other people to hospital with injuries including four children:
“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday, July 6, has claimed the life of a Hartselle woman and injured five others.
Cynthia Ruth Baker Reeves, 55, was fatally injured when the 2005 Chevrolet Impala she was driving collided head-on with the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Shawn P. Bagwell, 39, of Cullman. Reeves was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Bagwell was injured and was transported by air to the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital. Other passengers of the Silverado — a 14-year-old, a 13-year-old, an 11-year-old and an 8-year-old — were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Cullman County 222 near Cullman County 351, approximately one mile south of Crane Hill, in Cullman County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
