Harry Spencer Harris, aged 72, departed from this world on March 2, 2026, after a lifetime rich with love, music, faith, and enduring passions. Harry was born on June 23, 1953, in Portland, Tennessee to the late Pattie Sue Stinson Harris.

A devout Christian, Harry’s faith was more than a belief; it was the compass by which he navigated life’s triumphs and adversities. His love for God was evident in his every interaction, and he embodied the Christian values of kindness, patience, and charity, which endeared him to all who knew him.

Family meant everything to Harry. He was a pillar of strength, a source of wisdom, and a generous heart that loved unconditionally. His family found comfort in his presence, reassurance in his words, and joy in the love he shared with them. Harry’s passion for classical music also sustained him, offering a harmonious backdrop for the cherished moments he spent with his loved ones.

In his personal time, Harry cherished the outdoors, whether it was taking a leisurely ride on his bicycle or engaging in his hobby as an avid gun collector. These interests were more than just pastimes; they reflected his love for the precision and legacy of craftsmanship, his appetite for adventure, and his commitment to personal freedom and responsibility.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Betty L. Harris; step-children, Robert (Irene), Risa (Richy), and Kevin (Lisa); 16 step-grandchildren; and 32 step-great-grandchildren. Aside from his mother, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Jean Harris; step-son, Keith; brother, Robert Harris; sister, Amelia Harris; and twin who passed at birth, Larry Harris.

A graveside service to honor Harry’s life will be held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Steve Osborne officiating.

The family would like to thank The Willows Assisted Living in Jackson, TN and The Waters Extended Care in McKenzie, TN for all that they have done for Mr. Harry.

Thoughtful in every aspect of his existence, Harry left an indelible imprint on the hearts of those who knew him. He moved through life with a quiet strength and a gentle spirit that will be profoundly missed but warmly remembered.
