Harry Gordon Ellett, Jr., 87, of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, with his dedicated wife of 62 years, his daughter and his son-in-law by his side.

Anyone that knew him knew how immensely honored he was to serve his country in the Air Force from 1956 through 1976 as an air tactical controller, serving in the Vietnam War during his time in service. He spent many, many hours of his life fishing, camping with family and friends and cherished his many years coaching his daughter and her friends’ softball teams and supporting her in everything she did. In his later years, his grandson was his absolute pride and joy. He adored his family with every ounce of his being.

Harry is survived by his forever loyal wife, Nobuko, his daughter Lisa Poole (Brent), grandson Parker Jackson (Michaela), brother Cary Ellett, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

Harry’s wishes were for the family to spend time together privately after his passing. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
