Harry Franklin “Red” Blackburn age 85, of Florence, died Friday, September 28, 2012. Visitation will be Saturday, September 29, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Spry~Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be Sunday, September 30 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Chris Kemp officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Garden. Pallbearers are Jaime Blackburn, Jeremy Blackburn, Tyler Phillips, Charlie Raciborski, Daniel Clemmons, and Terry Lester. Harry was a member of Florence Boulevard Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon and Treasurer for several years. He worked at Flagg Utica and was known as “Red” for 27 years. He worked as Maintenance Supervisor at Riverbend from 1970 until 2005 at which he retired. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred L. Blackburn; Sisters, Paulene Moon, and Elsie Holder; Brothers, William Newt Blackburn, and James C. Blackburn. Survivors include his children, James A. “Jimmy” Blackburn (Sonja), and Deborah. L. Phillips (Wayne); Grandchildren, Jaime Blackburn (Leslie), Marla Clemmons (Daniel), Jeremy Blackburn (Anna), Bridget Raciborski (Charlie), and Tyler Phillips (Chasity). Great-grandchildren, Preston, Hampton, Lydia, Laura, Cameron, Molly, and Riley. His Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren were his pride and joy.
