Harry Edward Smith, of Lawrenceburg Tennessee, passed away Feb 5, 2024, after a short illness. Son of Victor Harrison Smith and Dorothy Smith of New Castle, PA.

He was born June 22, 1938. Harry was a retired truck driver and former United States Marine. He was a member of the New Prospect Methodist Church in Lawrenceburg TN. Harry born in New Castle PA but was raised in Youngstown Ohio and is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. After graduation, he joined the USMC in 1956 and served until 1960. Harry was a very patriotic American and liked watching old westerns on TV in his spare time. Harry was a practical joker and liked giving a good ribbing as well as getting one. He had a great sense of humor and his smile and laugh lit up the room.

Harry leaves behind his wife Rose Anne Smith (Davis) of ten years. Son’s Harry Johnson (Patty) of Lakewood Ohio. Shawn Smith (Jennifer) of Florence Arizona. Stepsons William Dearing, Michael Eric Dearing, and Thomas Wilks Dearing. All from Memphis Tennessee.

Grandchildren. Erika and Matthew Johnson. Samuel, Jeremiah, and Nicholas Smith. Cahterine Sarah Smith.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Carol Smith and Ruth Tidswell.

Harry’s remains will be interred with his brothers and sisters in arms at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman Ohio.
