Harrell Vaughn Fowlkes, age 78, of Cherokee, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018. Visitation will be Thursday, September 27th at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday, September 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rod Stansky officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park.
Harrell was a native of Nashville, Tennessee, grew up in Pensacola, and was a long-time resident of Cherokee. He was a retired Electrician and a member of the Margerum Community Church. Harrell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved riding motorcycles. He truly had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in their time of need. Harrell lived life to the fullest and taught others to do the same.
He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-four years, Judy Beaver Fowlkes; parents, Harrell and Evelyn Fowlkes; and his sister, Sherran Gibbons.
He is survived by his wife of two years, Sandra Fowlkes; son, Tommy Fowlkes; daughters, Renee Schramm (Chris) and Seana Mondoux (Francois); sisters, Melanie Gross, Melitta Sue Gentry (Jerry), Judie Nichols (Allen), and Julie Gillespie (Dean); seven grand-children, Kelby Fowlkes, Bennett Schramm (Bronwyn), Harrison Schramm (Amelia), Baylor Schramm, Ryne Mondoux, Taylor Mondoux, and Matthew Mondoux; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
