Ray Brewster Harold Ray Brewster, age 91, of the Tucker’s Chapel community, passed away at his home Thursday, May 15, 2025. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a great-great-grandfather. Ray spent many years as a bulldozer operator throughout Cherokee and DeKalb counties. He cleared many acres of land and built numerous ponds. He loved working on construction, gardening, spending time with his family, and making homemade ice cream. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025 at Tucker’s Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Killian officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers will include Jeff Bobo, Brennan Bobo, Larry Brewster, Jimmy Dale Hawkins, Jacob Nelson, and Keith Taylor.
He is survived by his children Larry Brewster (Nancy), and Regina Rowland; grandchildren, Tonya Bobo (Jeff), Brandi Brewster, and Leslie Ann Rowland; great-grandchildren, Brennan Bobo (Brandy) and Emily Nelson (Jacob); great-great-grandson, Danny Lane Bobo; sister, Glenda Taylor and his adored dogs, Bella and Sam. Special friends, Gary Burt, Wayne Caminiti, and James Goodwin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Goodwin-Brewster; son, Danny Brewster; parents Elmer and Lethy Vester Brewster; daughter-in-law, Susan Brewster; sons-in-law, Bobby Rowland; brothers, Leon Brewster, Hershel Brewster, Dewayne Copeland; sisters, Carolyn Clark and Gwinell Floyd.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tucker’s Chapel Cemetery Fund.
