Harold Maxwell “Peavine”Lewis – Obituary

Harold Maxwell “Peavine” Lewis, age 87, of Sheffield, died Thursday, July 26, 2012. Visitation will be Sunday 1-3 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Terry Jones officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Lewis was a member of Annapolis Avenue Church of Christ and a veteran of WWII with service in the Marines. He was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Lewis and Doris Noble Lewis; his brother, Bob Staples; and son-in-law, Harry Clark.

He is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Clark; granddaughter, Courtney Clark; great-granddaughter, Abby Clare Clark; stepdaughters, Debbie Borden and Linda Rodgers; stepgrandchildren, Michael Borden, Melissa Rickman, Melanie Kimbril, Jessica Rodgers, Anna Rodgers, Abby Rodgers; stepgreat-grandchildren, Josh Robertson, Nora Rickman, Kamron Kimbril; special friend, Elizabeth Pruitt; brother-in-law, David Bratcher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Steve Borden, Jim Kasmeier, Ed Kasmeier, Wes Emmons, Gene Caviness, Dewayne Roden, Tim Bratcher and Bobby Hendon.

Honorary Pallbearers are David Bratcher, Jim Pride, Joe McCoy, Don Painter and Johnny McCollum.
