Mr. Harold Maness, age 83, passed away on July 4, 2024 in Jackson. He was born September 23, 1940 in Lexington to the late Ernest and Excell Hays Maness. . He was a retired Fire Fighter for Lexington Fire Dept., a carpenter, and a member of the Tennessee National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, traveling, horses, and gardening. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Mr. Maness is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mrs. Judy Maxwell Maness; his son, John Maness (Jackie); two daughters, Faith Blankenship (Tim Wood) and Mona Blankenship (Tom); his brother, Danny Maness (Beverly); his sister, Clara Mae Covington; nine grandchildren, Misty Goodman (Robert), Hillary Blankenship (Brandon), Kirk Blankenship, Garrett Blankenship (Tessa), Allie Blankenship, Carter Maness, Emma Maness, Sadie Maness, and Ella Maness; and four great grandchildren, Haley Goodman, Raylan Blankenship, Hannah Jowers, and Preston Williams.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Central Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Central Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Central Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, 2 – 6 PM and on Sunday 10 AM – 2 PM.
