
Harold was born in Lester, AL on January 8, 1949 to James Leonard and Rena Mae Howard McRee. Harold was a self-employed electrician who had an unparalleled work ethic which showed through his own well-established business and was retired from McCree Heating and Plumbing. He was a member of the Pulaski Elks Lodge and a faithful God-fearing Christian. Harold showed his admiration for God’s creations through his love of being outdoors, traveling to National Parks, an appreciation of antique cars as well as trains, but most importantly spending time with his family. Harold is preceded in death by his parents James and Rena Mae McRee; brother James Edwin McRee.
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday May 1, 2025 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. On Friday May 2, 2025 there will be visitation from 12-1pm at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with Graveside Service at 2pm in Minor Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Giles County Humane Association.
Harold is survived by his loving wife Sandra Burgess McRee of Goodspring; daughters Sharon McRee Smith of Louisville, KY, Leslie McRee Purvis (Joe) of Goodspring, Glynda McRee of Goodspring; grandchildren James Glen McRee-Abernathy, Viktor Andrew Lane; sisters Evelyn McRee Felker (Richard), Linda McRee Oliver both of Pulaski; mother-in-law Marvenelle Burgess of Pulaski; sister-in-law Diane Burgess Aymett of Minor Hill; special uncle Tommy McCree of Pulaski; 4 nieces Lisa, Vickie, Sylvia, Kim; and special fur baby Trumpers, numerous other relatives and friends.
