Funeral for Harold Dean “PeeWee” Mayes, 82, of Moulton, will be Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Elliott Brown-Service Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jonathon Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Mayes died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at his residence. He was born Jan. 16, 1933, in Lawrence County to Dee Mayes and Bertha Terry Mayes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Mayes, and a grandchild, Stormi Jo Mayes.
Survivors include three sons, Freddy Mayes and wife, LeAnne, Harold Mayes and wife, Carol, and Ronald Mayes and wife, Amy; three sisters, Mozerine Wrettia, Jewel Cross and Faye Kalnicky; one brother, Wayne Goodwin; and five grandchildren, Freddy Jr., Aliea, Rowdy, Rocky and Lauren.
