Harmon Eskel Davis, 95, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at The Meadows in Fulton, MS.  He was born August 30, 1930 in Tishomingo County, MS.  He was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church in Golden, MS where he played the organ and taught Sunday School, as long as he was able.  He loved his church family!  He was self-employed and worked hard over the years, but would much rather be remembered for his love of God and family!  He loved sharing the gospel, reading, memorizing and talking about the Bible! He loved being with family and playing board games with the grandkids.  He called each one’s name in prayer everyday!

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church, in Golden, MS with Bro. Jerry Ginn and Bro. Jarod Grimes officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, April 11 from 12-2 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Belmont Memorial Gardens.  Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his daughter, Sondra Bullen (Phil); son, Larry Davis (Wanda); daughter, Cherrye Greene (Paul); daughter, Cyndi Strickland (Terry); daughter, Sam Paul (Gary); 13 grandchildren, Chad Clark (Cheyenne), Josh Clark, Jeremy Clark, Mike Davis (Shelby), Mark Davis (Mandy), Melanie Gregory (Justin), Jeff Greene (Lauren), Jock Greene (Ramona), Jake Greene (Alisha), Trent Strickland, Brooke Lowder (Daniel), Brent Paul, Hannah Fagan (Ben); 26 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grands; and a special friend, DeEtta Stephens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnie & Pearlie Davis; his wife, Janet Davis; his son, Gary Davis; his brother, Harold Davis.

Pall Bearers will be Russell Davis, Kane Harris, Tommy Tanner, Murray Morrow, Kelly Hester, & Jeryl Graham.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at The Meadows and Gentiva Hospice for their kind and dedicated care.
