Hardy Cecil (H.C) Taylor was born in Irwin County, Georgia on December 11, 1932, the son of the late Cecil and Elizabeth Taylor. On May 5, 1954, he was united in marriage to Mattie Lou Luke, who preceded him in death on July 3, 2016. H.C. departed this life on December 14, 2017, at the age of 85 years and 3 days.
H.C. served his country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956. In his lifetime, he lived in Germantown, Tennessee, Atlanta, Georgia, Birmingham, Alabama, Orlando, Florida, Thomasville, Georgia, Fitzgerald, Georgia, Tallahassee, Florida, and Counce, Tennessee. H.C. attended Germantown Baptist Church while he was in Germantown, Tennessee and Counce Baptist Church during his time in Counce, Tennessee. He was a National Sales Manager for Conwood Corporation for over 29 years and for Kraft Foods. Golfing and reading the Bible were some of his favoite things to do.
H.C. is survived b his son, Hardy Alan Taylor of Germantown, Tennessee.
Along with his parents and wife, H.C. was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Jo Leben and Frances Catherine Golden.
