Funeral for Harbin Miles Terry, 94, of Moulton will be today, January 21, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with Tom Wood and Scott Reeves officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Terry, who died Sunday, January 19, 2014, at his residence, was born April 19, 1919, in Lawrence County to Henro Terry and Mary Alice Terry. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and retired as a carpenter for TVA. Mr. Terry was a member of Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sandra Delane Terry; six brothers, Leamon Terry, Monroe Terry, Ben Terry, Lee Terry, Tennis Terry and Clark Terry; and five sisters, Lula Bell Smith, Mary Waltz, Rosie Terry, Etta Hill and Bessie Moat.
Survivors include his wife, Alder Mae Terry; one son, Roger Terry (Beth) of Moulton; one daughter, Barbara Glenn (James) of Moulton; two grandchildren, Tim Glenn of Tallahassee, Florida, and Candice Terry Hagler of Jasper; two great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, Amy Hamilton and Melody Gallant.
Pallbearers will be Bud Payne, Ted Thompson, Lowell Thompson, Franklin Terry, Gary Terry, Todd Thompson, Rayburn Jones, Ronnie Blankenship and Charles Terry.
