Harace Eugene Stanfield Jr., 70, born Dec. 6, 1943, departed this life Monday, May 12, 2014.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 17, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
He was a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church in Henderson, Nevada and Florence Baptist Church, Florence, Alabama.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Georgie Stanfield; two daughters, Connie Runion and Dianne Peace; five grandchildren, Chavon Peace, Jessica Chandler, Cody Runion, Jordan Peace, and Dru Runion; five great- grandchildren, Dayton Peace, Logan Grossmann, Samantha Clay, Atlee Chandler, and Jax Eugene Ruiz; and brothers and sisters, Joann Holt, Jane Joiner, Delbert Stanfield, Elizabeth Cunningham, Doris Benson, and Johnny Stanfield.
Harace was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, hunting, fishing, helping others, and express traveling. He was such a good person who touched the hearts of many. There was nobody he would not help respectfully. To know him was to love him, because he always told it like it was and showed his love good, bad, or indifferent. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family respectfully asks for your prayers and positive thoughts as they remember his beautiful life. Let us take comfort in knowing he is the lucky one who is now with our Lord in Heaven.
