Hansel Micheal Chastain, 66, of Haleyville, entered into rest on August 3, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Chastain was born on July 26, 1948 in Haleyville, Alabama. He attended Revival Center Church. Hansel loved spending time with the grand kids.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 4, 2014 from 6pm-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 2pm. Brother Joseph Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.
Hansel is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy Chastain; daughters, Christy (Daniel) Crane, Melissa (David) Lothrop; brother, Ricky Chastain; sisters, Linda Cornelius and Sheila (Terry) Ward. He was “PawPaw” to five grandchildren, Josh Knight, Taylon Lothrop, Bentley Lothrop, Jessie Evans, Tyler Evans, and three great-grandchildren, Keelie Evans, Indie Evans and Oliver Evans.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Hope Evans, Starsha Chastain; grandchild, Blake Spiller; parents, Aubrey and Pearlie Chastain; brother, Micheal Chastain; sisters, Wanda Chastain and Barbara Motes.
