THE SHOALS – More photos from The W.C. Handy Music Festival from Saturday evening.
It was hot and sticky Saturday afternoon, punctuated by a few rain showers that didn’t cool the day down. All the rain did was raise the humidity to give Florence the feel of a sultry day in Memphis or New Orleans, something that Mr. Handy would have likely been familiar. Handy’s Night of Talent, started the afternoon off on the north end of Court Street.
There was music on Mobile Street after the rain, and the featured act at Wilson Park was a Handy Fest regular Rewind.
