Hanceville Man Dies In Two-Vehicle Accident Near Cullman

CULLMAN-On Wednesday, December 9 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported a two-vehicle accident near Cullman that has taken the life of one person:

“A two-vehicle crash at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, has claimed the life of a Hanceville man.

 Oather Lee Phillips, 88, was killed when the 2020 Toyota Tacoma that he was operating ran a stop sign and was struck by a 2000 Kenworth T800.  Oather, who was not using his seat belt was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at the intersection of County Road 1114 and County Road 1107, approximately six miles west of Cullman.

 Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
