Hamilton Hugh “Sandy” Snow Jr., age 72, of Owens Cross Roads, Al 35763 passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at a local hospital. Mr. Snow was born in Calhoun County, Al to Hamilton Hugh Snow Sr. and Sybil Jackson Snow. He had worked in both the Calhoun and Jackson County Schools as a Councelor. He had earned a Master’s degree from New Orleans Baptist Seminary and another from UNA for School Counceling. He was a member of Rivertree Church in Big Cove. Mr. Snow was very devoted to his church and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hamilton Hugh Snow Sr. and Sybil Jackson Snow and his brother-in-law Harry Vines.
Mr. Snow was survived by his wife of 50 years Cassie Ann Wakefield Snow; sons James Snow (Barbara) of Ohatchee, AL and Kyle McGregor (Shannan) of Madison, AL; daughters Kristen “Deanna” Anderson (David) of Big Cove, AL and Kelli “Danielle” Dineen (Shean) of Albany, GA; brother Teddy Snow of Oxford, AL; sisters Lottie Finney (Jim) of Rome, GA, Joan Boyd (Larry) of Oxford, AL,Virginia Owings (Burt) of Calera, AL and Hope Snow Vines of Malcolm, AL.
A memorial service will be held on May 12, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Rivertree Church.
