Hallie Almira Cross, 89, of New Market, passed away Thursday.
She enjoyed tending to her garden and watching the hummingbirds. She was a avid animal lover, especially her beloved dogs.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Kenneth Cross and Henry Atchley Sr.; children, Richard Atchley, David Atchley, and Henry Atchley Jr.; sons-in-law, Mike Amman and Randall Williams; grandchildren, Jerry Hillis, Stephanie Prus, and Dustin Ortega; parents, Claude and Janice Connally, siblings, Johnny Connally, Robert Connally, and Kathleen Lewis.
Surviving are children, Betty Jo (Tony) Ortega, Sylvia Jean Amman, Dimple (Harry) Snyder, Patricia Atchley Williams, and James Atchley; siblings, Diane (Alvaro) Ramos, Aline McGlocklin, and Buddy (Gertrude) Connally; 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Visitation will be Wednesday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday at 1:00 pm with Jerry O’Neal officiating.
Interment will follow in Whitaker Cemetery.
