Tuesday April 18th the Alabama Music Hall of Fame will have a special Karaoke Night, hosted by
local Karaoke King, Wayne Chaney. Visitors to the Hall of Fame from April 18th through the 22nd can also enjoy a discounted price for recording their own karaoke tracks in the Hall of Fame’s recording studio. Wayne Chaney is an accomplished musician, having performed with the likes of Little Richard and Travis Wammack. Wayne is also an avid karaoke enthusiast that many in the North Alabama Area regard as the best karaoke host around. “Wayne is a long time friend of the Hall of Fame,” says Dixie
Griffin. “He regularly runs karaoke nights at venues around North Alabama, and knows how to put on a good show.” Those attending karaoke night will get to perform on the legendary Country Boy Eddie Stage and can take home an audio recording of their performance. There is no cover charge, and a cash bar will be available. Visitors to the museum during the remainder of National Karaoke Week will enjoy the continued 50% discount for karaoke tracks recorded in the Hall of Fame’s studio. “The recording studio is often the highlight of a visitor’s experience here,” says John Moseley, curator, “It’s something anyone can enjoy.” The Hall of Fame’s recording studio is fully outfitted for live recording with a karaoke library of over 200,000 songs to choose from. Visitors also have the option of bringing in their own instrument to record. Each recording is $5, regardless of how many participate in the performance. Karaoke Night will be April 18th, starting at 6:00 pm, with no cover and $5 per track recorded.
