WINSTON COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident in Winston County has taken the life of a Haleyville man:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:05 a.m. Monday, October 19, has claimed the life of a Haleyville man.
Barry L. Cox, 64, was fatally injured when the 2006 GMC Canyon pickup he was driving left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree. Cox was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Cranal Road near Sipsey Fork Road approximately eight miles north of Double Springs, in Winston County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
