H. Clinton Jones, of Hoover, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, at the age of 83. Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Avis Jones; his parents, Porter C. and Idell Ross Jones; his stepmother, Mildred Ezell Jones; and his son, Anthony Jones.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Ruggieri, of Hoover; daughter-in-law, Sherri Jones, of Alabaster; two granddaughters, Cristina Ruggieri, of Hoover, and Whitney Jones, of Calera; a grandson, Garrett Jones, of Alabaster; and two cousins, Lucy Tidwell, of Killen, and Monk Flippo, of Florence.
The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. The funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Byrd officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
