Gynevis Gregg, age 92, of Boaz, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Marshall Medical Center South.
Her funeral service will be 3:30 Friday, June 7, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Boaz. Burial will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Aaron Johnson and Rev. Don Ryan will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Randall Lee McClendon, Brian Gregg, Adam Howard, Tommy Rorex, Gregg Vinson, Chris Riley, Sgt. Tim Calloway and Joseph Duke. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:30 until 3:30 before the service.
She is survived by her son, Philip Gregg (Stephney), grandchildren, Brian Gregg (Kristen), Samantha Calloway (Tim), DeAnna Rorex, Brian Rorex (Renae), Wesley Rorex, and Angela Howard (Tom), nine great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. O. R. Gregg, daughter, Karen Faye Rorex, eight brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers the family has ask for donations to First Baptist Church –Boaz in her memory.
