Funeral service for Gussie Mae Waldrep, age 96, of Moulton, will be Friday, July 10, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel, with Chris Bowers and Chris Pressnell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Waldrep, who died Monday, July 6, 2015, at her residence, was born May 7, 1919, in Lawrence County to Benjamin Franklin Wood and Nannie B. White Wood. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a member of Flint Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Everett E. Waldrep, of Decatur, Larry Waldrep, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and James W. Waldrep, of Decatur; three daughters, Earline Cowens, Peggy Peters and Martha Breeden, all of Moulton; 43 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
