Gurley Mae West, 92, of Decatur, passed away on July 9, 2016 to be with her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Holaway and son-in-law, Sherrell Holaway; grandchildren, Cindy Stewart and Larry, Mike Holaway and Dee and Cheryl McGlocklin and Artie; great-grandchildren, Logan Holaway, Toni Beard and Wesley Stewart. She also had four great-great-grandchildren.
She was a lifelong member of Flint Baptist Church. She loved her family and was a good, kind and gentle person. She liked to work in her garden and with flowers. She will be greatly missed. We will celebrate her life on July 13, 2016 at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. with the service following. Service performed by Brother Lucky Teague.
