Guido “Guy” Petruccelli, at age 72, finished his earthly pilgrimage and immediately began his first round of Golf in Paradise on Friday, December 9, 2022, from North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo. Guy was born on April 10, l950 in Newark, NJ to the late Guido and Anita Petruccelli. Always proud of his Italian heritage, Guy was raised and educated in New Jersey and later received his BS Degree in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson College in Teaneek, NJ. He spent his life in sales moving to Tupelo in May, l997, ultimately retiring as Sales Manager for Philip/Daybright Lighting Company. He married Eva Ann Black on October 5, l996 in Tupelo and they shared 26 wonderful years together. Guy enjoyed living life large, was a great family man, loved his wife, the Jersey Shore, the Atlantic Ocean and, of course, Italian food. Always blessed with the perfect hand in poker games, Guy especially enjoyed being in his card playing group. He was a parishioner of St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo.
A celebration of life service will be held at 5:30 PM Monday, December 12, 2022 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo with Father Henry Shelton and Father Tim Murphy officiating, with remarks by family and friends. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. There will be a wine and cheese reception following in the funeral home lobby. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed at 5:30 pm Monday at www.hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Livestreaming, and will be permanently archived thereafter.
Guy is survived by his wife; Eva Ann of Tupelo; his children, Chris Petruccelli, his daughter, Shannon Petruccelli and granddaughter, Quinn Leigh Ortlieb all of New Jersey; his children from his marriage to Eva Ann, Benjamin Jones of Iuka, Ms. and his children, Nathan (Katie), Lily-Cate, Madison and McKenzie and Heath Jones (Courtney) Ooltewah, Tenn. and their children, Aubrey and Collin and other family members.
