THE SHOALS-The Shoals Entrepreneurial Center recently announced the implementation of a business assistance and workforce development program developed by Strategic Networks Group (SNG). SNG is an economic development partner that specializes in accelerating the understanding and meaningful use of broadband applications.
This program is designed to help businesses in Colbert and Lauderdale counties take the specific steps needed to maximize broadband’s benefits for growth. It provides information regarding the implications, in terms of potential growth and cost savings, of Internet applications.
The program includes the following components:
1. Self Assessment – Businesses complete a 20 minute on-line business assessment to gauge their effective (or ineffective) use of Internet applications.
2. Initial Business Feedback – Each participating business receives a one-page scorecard that outlines how their on- line activities are competing and performing in comparison to like-sized competitors in the same industry or organizational sector. The report includes three potential strategies to yield significant revenues and/or cost savings through Internet applications. In addition, the Scorecard provides an individualized action plan.
3. Ongoing Online Support – SNG provides access to a customized Web Portal for ongoing support and a road map to successful implementation of e-Solutions.
4. Impact Tracking
Why is your participation important? If we can better understand how businesses use the Internet and its applications we can assist all businesses in the Shoals in becoming more successful in today’s digital economy.
The online analysis will be available March 7th at www.una.edu/digital
Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to grow your business!
