A dearly loved wife, mother, sister, and aunt, Greta Hemphill Minor of Taft, TN was born December 6, 1959, died Monday, March 30, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert F. Hemphill and Martha Toone Hemphill, her brother Troy Hemphill and sister Linda Thompson.
She was survived by her beloved husband Jackie Ray Minor Sr. for 46 years, two children, Ray (Crystal) Minor and Erin (James) Poindexter, her big brother, Tommy (Barbara) Hemphill, and big sisters: Brenda Moore, Jeanine Moore, Janie Ducar, and Robbie (Diemer) Patterson; as well as lots of nieces and nephews.
She was a woman of great faith and was full of joy in all circumstances. She loved playing piano and led worship with her husband for years. Her kind and gentle spirit was evident in the way she cared for children and giving a home to any animal that needed one. She loved being outside and working in her yard planting flowers and tending a small garden. The impact she left on the people she loved will be felt forever.
There will be a visitation held for Mrs. Minor at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service is scheduled for the following day, Friday, April 3, 2026, to be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with service time beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery. Bro. Darryl Turner will officiate the service.
