Gregory Horace Thrower, 62 of Union Grove passed away Friday, July 25, 2025, at Marshall Medical Center North. Greg was born February 17, 1963 in Marietta, Georgia the son of Floyd Eugene Thrower and Lucy “Lucille” Brock. He was a 1981 graduate of Arab High School. He served his country faithfully and honorably in the United Stated Army National Guard, retiring with over 20 years of service. Greg was currently operating Empire Landscaping and Associates, Inc.
He is survived by his son: Peyton Thrower (Adreanna); daughter: Whitney Thrower (Jeremy Green); three grandchildren; brother: Jeff Thrower (Michele); sister: Shawna Thrower (Mark Padfield); nephews: Joshua Thrower and Brad Thrower; host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Gober Funeral Chapel. The burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
