ARDMORE-According to Greater Ardmore Chamber Director Yolandia Eubanks nearly 70% of area businesses are family owned and operated in Ardmore. With this week’s winter weather – it has forced these businesses to close for an extended period of time.
Eubanks urges the community to support local merchants and restaurants once it is safe to do so. She also shared that three local merchants in Ardmore offer online shopping. Those include:
Main Street Chic – www.mainstreetchic.com
Bean & Co Boutique – www.beancoboutique.com
Pink Sage Boutique – www.pinksageboutique.square.site
Statement from Yolandia Eubanks:

Yolandia Eubanks
“HI. I AM YOLANDIA EUBANKS WITH THE GREATER ARDMORE CHAMBER. HOPE EVERYONE IS MAKING THE BEST OF THESE SNOW AND ICE DAYS. WHILE SOME OF US HAVE THE LUXURY OF WORKING REMOTELY, THERE ARE OTHER AREA BUSINESSES THAT CAN NOT. JANUARY IS TYPICALLY A SLOW MONTH FOR MANY OF OUR AREA BUSINESSES BUT THEN YOU ADD IN BEING CLOSED IN FOR AT LEAST FOUR DAYS AND THE CLOSURES NOT ONLY EFFECT THE BUSINESS BUT IT EFFECTS THEIR FAMILIES. ALMOST 70% OF THE BUSINESSES IN ARDMORE ARE FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED – THEIR BUSINESS SUPPORTS THEIR FAMILY AND PAYS THEIR BILLS. YOU CAN SUPPORT SOME OF THE BUSINESSES BY SHOPPING ONLINE BUT I ENCOURAGE YOU TO SHOP AND EAT LOCALLY WHEN YOU ARE ALL ABLE TO GET OUT AND ABOUT BECAUSE YOUR SUPPORT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. REMEMBER THAT THESE BUSINESSES HAVE INVESTED IN OUR COMMUNITY AND WE NEED TO SUPPORT THEM IN ORDER FOR THEM TO SUCCEED. THANK YOU.”
