Grand Jury Ups Charge To Murder From Manslaughter In May 26th Fatal Shooting In Tuscumbia

TUSCUMBIA-A Tuscumbia man, Jerry Wayne Fisher, 72 has been arrested for murder after his charge was upgraded from manslaughter by a Colbert County grand jury.
 Jerry Wayne Fisher, 72, fatally shot his neighbor, John Kevin Farley, 49, over a reported ongoing property dispute. According to Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan the two men had a running dispute regarding the property before the shooting incident occurred.
The shooting took place on Saturday afternoon of May 26th, at around 2:50 pm on Nolen Trail off of Foster Nolen Road in the Tuscumbia police jurisdiction.
Farley  died en route to Huntsville Hospital shortly after the shooting.
Fisher is being held in the Colbert County Jail without bail where he has been charged with felony murder.
