Gracie May Patterson, age 90, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at NHC Columbia.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 1PM at Polk Memorial Gardens with Terry Perry officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 10:30-12:30PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 23, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, Gracie was the daughter of the late Richard Nolen and the late Bessie Henson Nolen. She was always dressed immaculate with her hair fixed and loved jewelry and lace. Gracie enjoyed listening to music and loved dancing.
She is survived by her sons: Steve Patterson of Texas, Tim (Debbie) Patterson of Texas; daughters: Judy Stanfill (Jerry Hendrix) of Columbia, TN, Darla (Phil) Matthews of Texas; sister, Mary Ann Mathis of Columbia, TN; daughter in law, Jan Patterson; devoted niece, Mary Jo McMeen; grandchildren: Tonya (Jeff) Jones, David (Maria) Stanfill, Seth (Lindsey) Matthews, Brandon (Jordan) Patterson, James Patterson, Adam Hendrix, Becky Hendrix; and great grandchildren: Jacqueline Stanfill, Julianna Jones, Madison Jones, Parker Hendrix, Easton Hendrix, Beckett Hendrix; and several other great grandchildren in Texas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Patterson; son, Warren Patterson; sisters: Nellie Dugger, Lacy Nolen; and brothers: Richard Nolen, Jr., Marvin Nolen, and Claude Nolen.
Pallbearers will be: Jeff Jones, Brandon Vaughn, Jason McMeen, Donnie Chapman, Clinton Green, and Charlie Fitzgerald.
