Grace Mackenzie Elmore was born on December 1, 2022, in Huntsville, Alabama, and she awoke eternally in the presence of Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of August 26, 2023. Grace is survived by her father, Anthony James Elmore “AJ”; her mother, Laura Elmore; and her four brothers, Gavin, Cohen, Johnny, and Ken. Grace was deeply loved by all who knew her. She bore the fingerprints of God, having been created in His image (Gen 1:27), and she was formed with divine wisdom, having been knit together in her mother’s womb (Ps139:14–16).

Grace’s beauty, smile, contentment, sweetness, and precious temperament intensified the joy of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her presence deepened others’ experience of love, comfort, peace, and happiness. Her name was given to her as an expression of the reconciling peace and mercy of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Though grieving, her family is relying upon the comfort of the Lord, placing their hope in Him, and they are thankful that Grace, being in the presence of her Savior, will not experience grief, worry, loss, or the fear of death. Her family looks with anticipation to joining her as well as all who hope in Christ. Even through her death, her life continues to be a testimony of the comfort that God provides to all who hope in Him.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Grace Community Church. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastors Paul Lamey, Joshua Elmore, and Benjamin Holland officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
