Grace Elizabeth West, “Polly”, age 94, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at NHC Springfield. Graveside services will be conducted at 2pm Monday, April 1st, in the Springfield Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. West was born March 12, 1930 in North Carolina, to the late Frank and Ethel Isaacs Brittain. She was a secretary for the North Carolina State School System.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. West was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow “Pope” West; and 2 brothers, Kenneth “Bill” Brittain, and George Brittain.
She is survived by her son, Lynn (Paula) West; daughter, Deborah West; 2 grandchildren, Jeremy Todd West and Natalie Dawn West; and a step grandson, John (Amanda) Bundy.
The family request, that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, or to the charity of your choice.
