MONTGOMERY – Governor Kay Ivey on Wednesday will present eight Alabama companies with the Governor’s Trade Excellence Awards for their success in exporting and their contributions to expanding the global reach of Alabama’s economy.
In 2018, Alabama’s exports topped $21 billion. Each year since 2005, the Governor’s Trade Excellence Awards have recognized Alabama manufacturers and service companies excelling in international trade.
The eight recipients are as follows:
- Aerostar: Mobile, AL
- GKN Aerospace: Tallassee, AL
- Help Lightning: Birmingham, AL
- Polyvance: Rainsville, AL
- Port of Huntsville: Huntsville, AL
- RMCI, Inc.: Huntsville, AL
- Trinity Highway Products: Pell City, AL
- Zorn Molds, Inc.: Trafford, AL
Joining Governor Ivey for the Governor’s Trade Excellence Award Ceremony will be Alabama Department of Commerce Secretary Greg Canfield.
The event will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alabama State Capitol-Old House Chamber located at 600 Dexter Avenue in Montgomery.
