Gordon Edward “Ed” Newcomb, age 74 of Jones Chapel, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Cullman Medical Center. He was born December 23, 1950 to Jimmie and Evelyn Newcomb. Ed proudly served in the US Army for 13 years. He loved animals and enjoyed helping those in need. Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, Alabama, where a service will be held at 2:00. Buril will be at Jones Chapel Cemetery. Ed is survived by his children, Robert “Robbie” Newcomb, Carie Newcomb, Paul Newcomb and Shawn Newcomb; brothers, David Newcomb and Zahn Newcomb; and his little dog, Susie. He was proceeded in death by his parents; and wife, Annie Higgins Newcomb.
