Mrs. Goldie Ross-DonnellGoldie Michelle Newell-Ross was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 26, 1968 to the late John Newell and Nancy Faye Yarbrough-Smith. She passed away on Saturday March 26, 2022 in Jackson, TN.

Goldie’s family moved from the South Side of Chicago to Jackson, Tennessee when she was 10 years old. Goldie gave her life to Christ at a younger age and attended Bascom C.M.E. Church as a child. She attended Light of Life Ministries in her late years.

She graduated from Jackson-Central Merry High School and continued her education earning a Bachelors and Masters Degree at Lane College. She worked for the Madison County School System for many years and also worked as a social worker. She volunteered for several organizations such as the Carl Perkins Center, The Salvation Army and she founded an organization named after her son Kevin in an effort to bring awareness to Autism The Kevin Jr. Foundation.

Goldie loved to make people laugh and she loved to have fun. Sometimes she would laugh so hard she would break out in tears. Her personality was as big as the moon and her smile was as bright as the sun.

She have three sons whom she loved dearly: Anthony Coman, Kevin Ross, Jr. and Kirby Ross; She has two grandsons: Anthony Jr. and Rich. Goldie was born into a large family, she was the youngest of her siblings and she made it known to everyone that the was the baby of the family. Her sibling are: Linda Faye Leonard, Christopher Bernard Roberts and Aubrey Greer who preceded her in death. Jennifer Parker (Cleveland), Veronica Dowell (Wayne), Stephanie Bond (Hercules) and Sapphire Townsend. Further survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
