Godoy “Minnow” Thornton, 63, of Rogersville died Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 at ECM Hospital.
Visitation will be Friday from 11 – 1 at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel with Jimmy Cox officiating. Burial will be in Romine Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be Stanley Word, Trent Thornton, Mickey Thornton, Rodney Favors, William Campbell, Jeremy Word, Tim Thornton and Chris Thornton.
Mr. Thornton was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Thornton; brother, Nate Thornton and son, Matthew Thornton. He is survived by his children, Adam (Callie) Thornton, Amanda (Chadd) Voss and Mary Beth (Jason) Walker; grandchildren, Maycie, Jasper, Holden, Chandler W., Chandler V., Stryder, Caylee, Jett and Connley; sister, Shirley Favors and brothers, Wendell (Jean) Thornton, Roger Thornton and Donnie Thornton.
