Mrs. Gloria Handley Hodges, age 90 of Elkmont, AL passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Hodges was born on July 11, 1929 in Birmingham, AL to Thomas Archie Handley and Lillie Belle Merrill Handley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, M.E. Hodges; grandchild, David Edward Hodges; brother, Floyd Handley and sister, Sylvia Montgomery.
Mrs. Hodges is survived by her sons, Michael Hodges (Letha), Gary Hodges and Eddie Hodges (Kim); grandchildren, Jason Hodges (Starra), Jessica Hodges Wright, Joe Miller (Brandy), Christie Wales (Billy), Jimmy Dale Hodges, Clay Hodges and Corey Hodges; great-grandchildren, Noah Hodges, Eli Wales, Ravyn Miller, Kendrick Miller, Emma Hodges, Ava Hodges and Sawyer Hodges; sisters, Doris Rogers, Joy Abbott and Lauretta Hartney; brother Roger Handley.
Mrs. Hodges enjoyed hiking, biking, outdoors and caring for babies as a nursery nurse. She loved her dogs and being with her family.
A graveside service for Mrs. Hodges will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Glennwood Baptist Church Cemetery in Morris, AL with Daryl Crowder officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30-8:00PM on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Hodges, Clay Hodges, Joe Miller, Joey Abbott, David Gassie and Noah Hodges.
