Gloria Faye McConnell London, age 89, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at NHC Oakwood.
Faye was born March 23, 1936, in Mooresville, Tennessee, to the late Joe and Ida McKnight McConnell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Sanders London in 1997.
She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Hazel of Lewisburg; son Michael London of Sebring, FL; four granddaughters, Stacy Metcalf of Petersburg, Heather Conner of Fayetteville, Michelle London of Fayetteville, and Jennifer London of Fayetteville; one grandson, Tracy Hazel of Lewisburg; fifteen great grandchildren, Karli, Hunter, Kinsey, Trey, Alea, Keeley, Cali, Adyson, Gage, Ledger, Lenley, Bray, Madie, Austin, and Jacey; five great great grandchildren.
Faye was a devoted member of Westvue Church of Christ where she found community and spiritual fulfillment throughout her life. In the early years of her marriage, Faye contributed to her family’s well-being by working at Florence Stove Company, a position she held with diligence and pride. Later in her career, she joined Teledyne Technologies, from which she eventually retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.
Outside of her professional life, Faye enjoyed spending her time making crafts, a hobby that showcased her creativity and attention to detail. Her love for baking brought joy to those around her as she often shared her homemade treats with friends and family. Additionally, Faye had a passion for flowers, finding beauty and tranquility in their care and arrangement. Her interests reflected a warm, generous spirit and a zest for life that touched everyone she met.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church St., Lewisburg, TN, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and will continue on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 12:00 pm until the funeral hour.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home and Crematory with Mike Whitehead officiating with burial to follow in Bryant Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Hazel, Gage Hazel, Chris Metcalf, Ledger Barnes, Hunter Chandler, Jayden Hancock, and Bray Parks.
