Dr. Glenn Douglas Weathers of Huntsville passed away on October 28, 2023, after a brief illness. Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Chalmus Lafayette Weathers; mother, June Roberts Weathers; and sister, Joyce Weathers Smart. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Brosemer Weathers; children, Stephanie and Matthew; brothers, Robert “Bobby” Weathers (Kathy) and John Weathers (Susan); along with many nieces and nephews. Glenn loved his family and always encouraged and supported their adventures and endeavors.
Glenn grew up in Boaz, Alabama. He attended Auburn University, ultimately earning his PhD in Electrical Engineering. Glenn loved his work as an engineer and the support that he provided for NASA and Department of Defense contracts throughout his career. He loved all kinds of outdoor activities, especially spending time at Guntersville Lake and the Gulf Coast and also enjoyed traveling with his family.
A graveside service will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 1st.
