Funeral service for Glenn Dobbs, 98, will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Harold Thompson and Bro. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mt Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Dobbs died on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born June 7, 1924, in Morgan County, to John Calvin Dobbs and Ona Elizabeth Roan Dobbs.
He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater, also worked for NASA until retiring and then worked for UAH as an Engineering Technician. He was a wonderful family man, that was always willing to do anything for others. He enjoyed gardening, swimming, going to the beach and dancing. He was a “Die Hard” Alabama Fan.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Lucille Howard Dobbs and Alice Norwood Dobbs and a daughter- Joy Cumbaa.
